FAQ

How do I make an appointment?

The best method is to give me a direct call (968098108); alternatively, you can send me an email ([email protected]). Feel free to ask whatever question you want about my practice. Remember that if you don’t get a clear answer, it is up to me at this stage (not you) to make the answer clearer for both. So please, don’t hesitate to reach further at this stage.

What happens after a first contact? Is the first session paid for?

You can book a time with me on the phone or via Skype (around 15-20 minutes) where you can tell me why you are looking for psychotherapy at this point of your life and ask me any questions about my practice. For individual clients, you can also book a brief, face-to-face, first meeting with me at my office (around 20 minutes). There is no charge for this first contact.

What is the difference between therapy and online counselling?

Online counselling is based on symptom-relief, not long-term change. Unlike face-to-face work, online counselling moves through a stricter definition of goals and a set number of sessions.

How long will I be in therapy for?

Personally, I don’t believe in therapeutic relationships for years on end. How long you will be in therapy is a decision we will make together. The longest people tend to work with me on a regular basis (weekly or fortnightly) is 1 or 2 years. Others work with me for shorter periods of time, 3 or 6 months. Truly, it depends on what you want to get out of it, which is something we discuss openly throughout the process.
